We landed in Johannesburg, South Africa after 2 flights which were about 10 hours each. The flights were good as I slept most of the way. We had an 8 hour lay-over in London which was not too bad.

We drove from Johannesburg to Francistown, Botswana on Saturday. It was a 10 hour drive with 5 adults and 29 pieces of luggage. We drove in a double cab short bed truck. It was interesting to say the least. One of the above pictures is of Pastor Matt Buckley loading the truck in Johannesburg, South Africa before we began our journey to Francistown.

On Sunday, we attended 2 church services. At 8am, it was a English service and the second service was in Setswana. The language spoken in Botswana. Two people asked Christ in their hearts in the first service. PRAISE GOD!

Today (Monday), we went to the village called Tutume. The ladies that came with me will be staying in this village. One lady named De will be teaching in an orphan school and the other lady, Alicia will be setting up a community program for mother/baby care. I am very excited for them. One of the above pictures is of the ladies, the children in the village and one of the pastors that we will be working with.

Tomorrow, we will go again to Tutume and take the ladies' luggage. They begin their stay in the village. I am trying to ease them into the culture. They are learning very fast and eager to learn more and more. I am thankful for such Godly ladies to be with this summer.

I will try to update the blog as often as I can. The internet is a little different here but where we are staying right now there is wireless internet.
